Today, we’re thrilled to share a major milestone thanks to our investment from Ballmer Group: Kansas City Public Schools (KCPS) will officially be the first district to participate in our data-sharing initiative. This partnership will allow KCPS and local nonprofits to collaborate by sharing program insights to provide 360-degree support for the students they serve. An example of this collaboration is the ability to identify a student’s upward progress in the classroom due to participation in a local nonprofit’s after-school program.
Here’s what KCPS Superintendent Mark Bedell had to say about the news:
“Our mission is to provide a better education for all of our students, and we’re making solid progress, as evidenced by our improved scores in this year’s state Annual Progress Report – our highest ever. This partnership, which will connect our schools with local nonprofits, will help us continue down the path to success, and we look forward to collaborating with organizations and programs in our community.”
