Working with vulnerable populations across multiple programs and staff makes maintaining a safe and secure system critical. Multi-Factor Authentication makes logging into Apricot a two-step process. This adds an extra layer of protection to your accounts and keeps your data in the right hands.
Multi-Factor Authentication: Verification You Can Count On
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) requires users to complete multiple steps when logging into Apricot. Most likely, you’ve seen this technology in action when you log into your personal email, banking institutions, or insurance providers. We’re excited that Apricot now provides this extra layer of security to meet standards such as HIPAA and FEDRAMP.
Security in the Palm of Your Hand
How does MFA for Apricot work? When a user logs in from a new device, a unique verification code is sent to the user. The user can choose to have this verification code sent via email or text message. The user is then prompted to enter that code on the Apricot login screen and granted access once the correct code is entered. Because only the owner of the mobile device or email address linked to that user account will be able to log on, MFA ensures that your data stays in the right hands.
Customized to Meet Your Security Needs
Apricot administrators can customize the frequency that users are required to verify logins meet the needs of your organization. One organization may want additional verification with every login. Another organization may only need extra verification every 30 or 60 days. MFA is completely customizable in order to meet the unique security needs of all our clients.
Use MFA in conjunction with Apricot’s other security features. Remember that Apricot has user-based permission settings to limit data access to specific staff members. At Social Solutions, we work to deliver the best in data security because we fully understand the importance of keeping client information secure and confidential.
