At Social Solutions, we’re passionate about enabling organizations to help serve their local communities and drive impact. As organizations begin to pave a path for recovery, it remains critical that assessments of needs are built with an awareness of the ongoing challenges to access of public and funder resources and support. During this challenging time, we are working closely with our clients to learn more about the unique challenges faced by communities of color in gaining equitable access to recovery.
According to recent research reports from Urban Institute, Black and Latino communities faced and continue to face unique challenges in gaining support, highlighting the disparities in access for local businesses, nonprofits, and community financial institutions.
To help nonprofit and public sector leaders enable their service of underserved and minority communities, we’re actively working with our partners Vista Equity Partners, Conference of National Black Churches (CNBC), National Action Network (NAN), and other institutions within the communities in which we serve to research the national impacts of disparate access to federal recovery including through the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and other measures in the broader CARES Act.
