  1. Join Giving Tuesday: While it’s not required, we recommend you join the Giving Tuesday organization. There you’ll find great year-round resources and be listed alongside other social good organizations. Giving Tuesday is now the largest global generosity movement and is a fantastic way to increase organization exposure.
  2. Be Strategic & Inspire Impact: Create a specific campaign and message around Giving Tuesday. Paint a picture by presenting obstacles your clients face, solutions your organization provides and how donors can help make your solutions a reality for those in need. Be transparent about how funds raised during Giving Tuesday will be used towards your campaign and how they apply to your overall mission.
  3. Track Your Data: Be sure to set campaign goals and track effectiveness. Funders want to see the impact their dollars are making and how it aligns with your mission and fundraising goals. We found that 98% of funders identify impact as one of their top three considerations when donating to an organization. Reporting on this data improves the likelihood of repeat donations and inspiring future donors. 
  4. Follow-Up & Highlight the Outcomes: Show your gratitude by providing results that demonstrate the impact your donors made and how their personal donation contributed to your overall success. You can do this by differentiating outputs vs outcomes. Outputs present the details within the campaign itself and how the donations affected results. Outcomes focus on the results of the campaign as it relates to your organization’s mission, vision and values. Combing outcomes and outputs can tell a complete story and motivate donors to continue giving.
