Tjada D’Oyen McKenna as Board Director

Recognized Champion in Human Services Industry Brings Expertise and Passion to Expand and Scale Social Good Across Nonprofit Sector

McKenna brings a passion for innovation and decades of experience driving successful humanitarian efforts at a global scale that will be a valued asset in supporting Social Solutions’ mission to help social good organizations leverage data and technology to drive lasting social change.

Currently CEO at the global non-governmental, humanitarian-focused organization, Mercy Corps, McKenna leads a global team in over 40 countries. The organization reaches more than 29 million people annually, working with local changemakers, global innovators and people most affected by crises, to help fragile communities break the cycle of poverty, rebuild after disaster and forge new paths to prosperity in the face of injustice, instability and climate change.

Prior to Mercy Corps, McKenna served as Chief Operating Office for two international nonprofit agencies, CARE and Habitat for Humanity International. McKenna also spent more than a decade in roles with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the U.S. government, specializing in food security and working to end world hunger. McKenna has served on both national and local nonprofit boards and began her career in the corporate sector in various roles at McKinsey & Company, American Express and GE. She earned a B.A. from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
