Senior Project Manager

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead some of the key strategic customer facing projects in the company. This person will be called on to write requirements, assist development in their design to ensure requirements are met, define project plan for these key projects, and manage the daily client engagement and change management as well as manage relationship with the client executive sponsors. Likely this person will have 3 – 5 of these projects going at any one time so they should be highly organized.

Key Responsibilities:

Write requirements as necessary for projects
Assist development in understanding requirements and review of their designs and mock-ups for compliance with the requirements.
Refine and negotiate scope with the client to meet budget and timelines desired
Develop task break down and build project plans both for RFP responses as well as active projects under their responsibility.
Develop acceptance test plan with client and document
Manage change control for the project
Provide training on software when necessary and/or guide client through acceptance testing
Guide client through the steps they will need to take to undertake an organizational change process to user ETO software.

Qualifications Desired:

5 years performing customer facing software project management within which there is a product component as well as customization component. Projects should be in the range of $100,000 - $500,000 service content.
During those 5 years this individual should have developed key experience in the following

    Managing customer relationships
    Putting together system requirements documents
    Putting together project plans and execution of change control process within that plan

Strong understanding of SDLC preferred
PMP certification preferred but not required. However solid understanding of project management principals are required.
Ability to travel 25% of the time.
BS/MS in Computer science, software engineering, or Information technology
