Organizations Choose Social Solutions to Help Improve Social Impact

Jewish Family & Community Services, Youth Service Bureau of St. Joseph County, and UTEC (United Teen Equality Center) have turned to Social Solutions to help them track executive and program efforts and relate them to outcomes in an effort to increase organizational effectiveness and accountability.

Youth Service Bureau of St. Joseph County is a South Bend, Ind. community-based nonprofit organization that serves the needs of youth at critical points in their lives. Offering free programs to the community, YSBSJC empowers youth and families to recognize their strengths and unlimited potential by delivering services that include street level outreach, shelter, counseling, and case management that honors, respects and celebrates the community's diversity. The YSBSJC prides itself on having a safe atmosphere for those in need, and the resources to help youth and families experience positive change.

The United Teen Equality Center (UTEC) was first established in 1999 to provide a safe teen center in response to local gang violence. UTEC provides a secure and multicultural alternative in the Lowell, Mass. community, emphasizing the holistic development of at-risk young people, ages 13-23. The Center reaches youth through intensive street outreach, builds upon their unique strengths within a youth development framework, and creates opportunities to best support them in becoming agents of social change and organizers in the community. Today, UTEC has an active membership of nearly 1,000 young people with 18 different programs and classes offered every week.
