According to a
survey released on Monday by the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, charitable contributions in the healthcare industry in North America have seen only a slight increase in 2006 compared to the funds donated during 2005. The report states that several factors – including economic uncertainties, financial deficits and congressional challenges – are to blame for the change in giving patterns. But the good news is that although the funds are not increasing as much as in previous years, the level of contributions are still high enough to make a considerable difference in people's lives.
